Profile

After months of intensive scouting for a future Predding star, board members Tom and Steve believed they'd struck gold with Stew Ballbags (a moniker he prefers and uses on a professional level).

Enjoyable as it was trawling through backwater bookies, Tom and Steve were relieved the search was over when they spied a young high roller quietly raking it in. Bored of predding for money, Stew snapped up the chance to continue for pride and honour alone and joined The Preds ranks in earnest.

It was only later that Tom and Steve discovered Stew's winnings had actually been from predding badminton matches but it was soon noted that Stew's sporting foresight skills were multifaceted. Man Utd v Liverpool is no different to Kantaphon Wangcharoen v Busanan Ongbamrungphan in his eyes.

Little (i.e. nothing) is known of Stew's murky (we assume) background before the 2015/16 season when he burst onto the Preds scene, quickly rising from Div 4 to the brink of Div1 by 2020/21 (a play-off defeat). An impressive steep rise only matched by the local hills he pounds during his rigorous running training.

Sporting-wise, other than running and badminton, his only other passion is the exciting, up-and-coming 'Badathalon' where competitors mix running and badminton disciplines to entertaining effect. The BBC are looking to give wider coverage to this energetic event in the near future so keep your eyes peeled for Mr. Ballbags. So grateful is he to Tom and Steve for introducing him, he promises to shoehorn The Preds into his interview with Clare Balding after winning the inaugural Badathalon World Series.

Those who know him are well aware he's a true completionist. Nothing less than 100% will do. He won't rest until he has the Div1 title, Preds Cup, Worlds and Euros in his locker with a full round of COMPLETELY 100% correct preds throughout all competitions. He has been advised this is highly unlikely but Stew won't be reasoned with and he absolutely will not stop predding. Ever.
