Marco's parents had a habit of naming their children after the vehicles in which they were conceived but, after the birth of their son Robin and daughter Trolley, they broke with tradition. They decided that although the act of conception had taken place in the confines of the family business, Mr Whippy was an unsuitable name for any child.

In the summer you cannot see too much of Marco as he is usually out in the Van with his father Gino, soothing the fetes, markets and cricket pitches of the south with a combination of soft ice cream and a winning smile.

In the winter months Marco can be seen performing as a stunt double at the Reading Octagon's performance of "Humpty Dumpty". He has also recently appeared in "How clean is your celebrity lovechild ?" under his pseudonym Dickinson-McShane.
